Their purpose is to prepare the members of the junior association for membership and leadership in the Georgia Cattlemen's Association, and to offer educational opportunities to prepare them to become industry leaders.

 

Georgia Milk Producers

Georgia Milk Producers is a producer-funded organization located in Watkinsville, Georgia. Georgia's dairy producers vote, by referendum, every three years to maintain it's operation. Georgia Milk's main objective is to educate dairymen and governing officials on all issues, such as legislation, environmental regulations, animal health and milk pricing/Federal Orders, affecting Georgia’s dairy industry.

UGA Cooperative Extension Service

The mission of UGA Cooperative Extension is to extend lifelong learning to the people of Georgia through unbiased, research-based education in agriculture, the environment, communities, youth and families. County Extension agents help keep farmers abreast of the latest agricultural technology, research and marketing strategies. Some agents help parents cope with the pressures of balancing home, work and children; others help keep families healthy with information on nutrition and food safety.

 

UGA Biological and Agricultural Engineering (Griffin Campus) - Weather School

The goal of this project is to bring educational materials together for immediate use in the classroom through one web portal. You will find original material developed at the University of Georgia (UGA) College of Agriculture and Environmental Science as well as links and references to other great sites for additional information and for which we have authored materials for use with those interactive sites.

 

Georgia Automated Environmental Monitoring Network

The Georgia Automated Environmental Monitoring Network was established in 1991 by UGA's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. The objective of the AEMN is to collect reliable weather information for agricultural and environmental applications. A system of 78 stations monitors air temperature, relative humidity, rainfall, solar radiation, wind speed & direction, soil temperature, atmospheric pressure, and soil moisture.

The Georgia Beekeepers Association is a non-profit organization which has supported hobbyist and commercial beekeepers in the art and science of apiary management for nearly 100 years.  We work with local clubs and our bi-annual conference for continuing education of all beekeepers whether novice or expert.
