Anyone can become a member of Georgia Farm Bureau. You do not have to be a farmer or in the agriculture industry to be a member.

Georgia Farm Bureau is a grassroots organization, fueled by volunteers and members on the local level in every community in the state. When you become a member of your county Farm Bureau, you also are a member of Georgia Farm Bureau.

The bulk of your membership dollars stay within your community for outreach efforts in your county. A portion goes to Georgia Farm Bureau for coordinated statewide outreach and also to advocate for legislation that enables Georgia farmers to continue feeding the world. A small portion (about 14%) goes to American Farm Bureau Federation to protect the broader interests of agriculture and rural communities across the nation.

The issues that Farm Bureau works to promote and protect affect every person in this state, from defending green space, to property rights, to reducing our reliance on foreign goods that can be produced locally by our Georgia farms, boosting the state’s economy.

Georgia Farm Bureau facilitates outreach programs in every Georgia community. This includes but is not limited to: agriculture literacy to teach kids where their food comes from, programs that foster relationships between consumers and the farmers in their neighborhoods, leadership development opportunities to help local farmers and agribusiness professionals thrive, advocacy work at the state and national capitol for issues directly facing farmers and consumers with a focus on delivering safe and sustainable food products to grocery store shelves, and more. Talk to your local Farm Bureau to learn more about what they’re doing in your county.

Join at your local Farm Bureau office or online in less than 2 minutes.  Your membership ID will be emailed or mailed to you, depending on the information you provide with your membership.

No, you do not have to have Georgia Farm Bureau insurance.  Access to Georgia Farm Bureau Insurance products is a benefit of membership. While most of our members choose to have their insurance through Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company, it is certainly not required.

In addition to making a positive impact on your county and your state, your membership gets you access to more than 300,000 benefits and discounts. Learn more.
