Okra Three Ways

Did you know that okra, is actually a fruit, but we use it like a vegetable in many different recipes. Okra, also called lady fingers, are rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin K and contain antioxidants. Studies even show okra may even help control your blood sugar levels. Many of our Certified Farm Markets offer fresh, grown okra right from their farms. When choosing the perfect okra look for that fresh green color, avoid any brown discolorations or okra that is very large. The perfect sized okra is between two and four inches long.

Air Fryer Okra
Ingredients
- 1 pound of okra
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp cracked sea salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper (optional)
Ingredients
- 1-2 lbs of okra
- 4 thick slices of bacon, cut into pieces
- 1 Georgia Vidalia Onion, diced
- 3-4 Georgia tomatoes, diced
- 2 cups of vegetable or chicken stock
- ¼ tsp of ground black pepper
- ¼ tsp of ground garlic powder
- ½ tsp creole seasoning
- pinch of salt
Stewed Okra and Tomatoes
Ingredients
- 1 lb of Georgia grown okra
- 1 tbsp salt
- 2 cups apple cider vinegar from Georgia
- 2 cups of water
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ cup Georgia grown Vidalia onions
- 1 tbsp dried dill
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 1 seeded, diced jalapeno
