Georgia Farm Bureau teams up with Georgia Southern Eagles Football for Ag Game Nov. 4
Posted on Oct 06, 2017 at 0:00 AM
MACON, GA - Georgia Farm Bureau and the Georgia Southern Eagles are partnering again to celebrate Georgia’s largest industry – agriculture – during the 2nd Annual Georgia Agriculture Game. This year’s game takes place at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro on Nov. 4 when the Eagles take on in-state rival Georgia State University.
The Georgia Agriculture Game, and the festivities surrounding it, are a tribute to the men and women who keep us all fed and clothed.
“Agriculture has traditionally been the most important economic sector in our state’s economy. Even today, with the growth in Georgia’s population and economy, and with metro Atlanta becoming one of the largest cities in America, agriculture is still the driving economic force in Georgia,” Georgia Farm Bureau President Gerald Long said. “With one in seven jobs in Georgia connected to agriculture, we can’t overstate just how vital this industry is to our state’s success.”
There will be many family-friendly activities offered prior to the 3pm kickoff, including farm equipment on display, activities for kids, giveaway items, Georgia product sampling booths, live music and much more.
For the first time, Georgia Farm Bureau is presenting one lucky fan with a special “Game Day Experience” prize pack including:
- Four tickets to the Ag Game on Nov. 4 at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro
- An autographed football
- Georgia Southern Eagles merchandise
- Georgia Farm Bureau merchandise
