GEORGIA PEACH AND BLUEBERRY TRIFLE

 

 

1 package (5.1 ounce) instant vanilla pudding

3/4 cup apple juice or dry sherry

3 cups sliced Georgia peaches

1 cup Georgia Blueberries

Half a pound cake (store bought works well), cut inch 1 inch squares

 

 

FOR WHIPPED CREAM


1/2 pint heavy whipping cream*

2 tablespoons sugar*

1/4 teaspoon vanilla*

 

Prepare pudding according to package directions and chill. When pudding has chilled, stir apple juice or sherry into pudding and chill again.

 

To prepare whipped cream, place sugar and vanilla into mixing bowl. Add the whipping cream and beat until mixture has firm peaks. Set aside.

 

In a trifle bowl or large decorative bowl, layer half of the pudding, whipped cream, cake and fruit.

 

Repeat layers, saving enough pudding and whipped cream to top.  Garnish with blueberries and peaches. 

 

Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.

 

Serves 10 - 12.
