GEORGIA APPLE CRISP
6 cups Georgia apples (preferably Rome or Jonagold), peeled and sliced
2 cups light brown sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups oatmeal
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 1/2 sticks butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350º
Spread sliced apples in square baking pan.
In large bowl, combine brown sugar, flour and oatmeal and stir to mix. Slowly pour in the melted butter, and stir to mix well. Slowly pour this mixture evenly over top of apples.
Bake about 45 minutes, until topping is crispy and apples are tender
