GEORGIA APPLE SAUSAGE DRESSING
This is great served with chicken or turkey.
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup chopped onion or green onions
1 pound hot sausage
3 cups cubed French bread
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 cups chopped Georgia apples
1 cup chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste
Melt butter in a large skillet and sauté onions, and place in a large bowl.
Cook sausage until done, drain and place in bowl with onions. Then add bread, egg and apples.
Place mixture in an 8 x 8 inch casserole dish, and pour chicken broth over dressing.
Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
