GEORGIA FARM BUREAU NEWS AND MEDIA
The Information / Public Relations Department is the "news division" of Georgia Farm Bureau. It provides a constant flow of news and information to the state's media of current agricultural news, news of our farmers' activities and achievements, Farm Bureau policy on agricultural and rural matters and issues of interest to our members and to Georgia agriculture.
It also gathers news for dissemination to Georgia agriculture and produces all Farm Bureau publications, printed materials, advertising and broadcast programs for the Farm Bureau companies. Since 1995, it has managed this very website. It's all about informing the farmer and our consumers.
Various media are used to accomplish these goals...
The Georgia Farm Bureau News has been the official publication of the Georgia Farm Bureau Federation since 1937. It began as a simple newsletter, was a tabloid for many years and has been published in its current magazine format six times a year since 1996. With the motto, “The Voice of Georgia Farmers,” the GFB News provides Georgia farmers and agribusiness professionals with updates on legislative issues, Georgia’s major commodities, emerging crops, new technologies and county and state Farm Bureau news. GFB members classified as farmer members automatically receive the GFB News. It is available to all Farm Bureau members upon request. For questions regarding editorial content e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. To advertise in the GFB News contact Hurst & Associates, Inc., at (800) 397-8908 or email@example.com.
Georgia Farm Bureau has published the Georgia Neighbors magazine since 1996. Farm Bureau's Georgia Neighbors magazine features people and places of interest in Georgia and educational information about agriculture. Both magazines are available to non-members at a subscription price of $15 (U.S.) per year. Click here if you'd like to inquire about a subscription. The latest issues of the magazines can be found on this page.
Georgia Farm Bureau also publishes a weekly newsletter, GFB News Alert, which covers issues and events impacting Georgia agriculture.
